*QUESTION? Have YOU been to a New York City block party?* Share your experience in the comment section below. This NYC tradition of feeling community in the street should be promoted and protected.

Highlights from “The Soapbox Presents Stoop Sessions: For the Love of House” block party and live performance that closed out the 2023 summer season with a blast on Saturday, September 16th. The location was West 120th Street in Harlem, the same as the previous “Stoop Sessions: Funk of July”, which you can forever experience by watching my video for that event here: https://youtu.be/OqhWfWXaCrM?si=OFJNr4o1VwO6LjnE

The evening featured some of the legendary House songs we all know and love, performed live by gifted musicians and vocalists from the community, as well as a pre-show and after-show DJ set.

*Songs performed in the video*
1. Show Me Love – Robyn S
2. Gypsy woman (la da dee) – Crystal Waters
3. Stomp – Kirk Franklin
4. Hey Mr. D.J. – Zhane
